From The Meadow

The devil has really tried to discourage me lately. But the Lord gave me these comforting words.

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." - 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

This song by Josh Wilson has a very similar message and has been a huge encouragement in recent days.

I'm very transparent...the fact that you are currently reading my blog which features details of my life and inner thoughts should be evidence of that. But being open and honest can often leave you vulnerable. It's almost like being a fawn in an open meadow....everyone knows where you stand but you are more susceptible to catching a blow. The world has tried to convince me that hiding in the woods is safer and free from fear...but the truth is....I'm not alone out there - God is with me. And I would rather live in the light with my Lord than live in darkness with the world. I will always stand boldly in Truth no matter the risk because the truth, God says, will set us free.(John 8:32) Ironically my name in Hebrew means "from the meadow"...reminding me where I'm from and where I'm supposed to be.

I'm continually blessed by those amazing people in my life who choose to stand with me. The support and encouragement of my friends and family in Christ is something I am eternally grateful for. I cherish each and every one of you. Please continue to pray for strength and courage for me. I so very much need and appreciate your prayers.
