Christmas Time In Switzerland

Today I took my parents to see the lovely little town of Lutry where we live. It was fun walking around the small cobblestone streets and seeing how this quaint little town decorates for Christmas. It was a bit chilly but the sun was shining and the views were wonderful! We went down to the waterfront and enjoyed Lake Geneva and a view of the Swiss Alps in all their glory. My dad shares my love for photography so we were loving all the photo opportunities. Switzerland decorates so sweet for Christmas. Everything has that vintage, timeless feel to it.

After spending several hours walking around Lutry, we went to downtown Lausanne and enjoyed shopping at their mall. Mom and I found some cute clothes and I bought a perfect pair of Swiss boots! I've been on the hunt for good boots for months because they not only had to be cute but had to be good for walking in because we do a LOT of walking here.

After a full and successful day, we stumbled upon an AUTHENTIC Brazilian Churrascaria for dinner. Living in Brazil, SA when I was fifteen, I was exposed to these unique and phenomenal restaurants but the few I have tried in the United States have not lived up to the original Brazilian Churrasco standards. This one was the real deal. They had all of the specialties....picanha, feijoada, farofa, platanos fritas, flan....it was SOOO good! And it was surprisingly affordable for all you can eat meat especially in Switzerland where everything is more expensive.

It was definitely a WONDERFUL day! I'm so thankful to be able to enjoy these moments with loved ones. These are memories I will cherish for a lifetime and will never stop being grateful for. God is SO good!!
